The Eye of Marriage

The Eyes of Marriage After three years of marriage, Su Wanqing finally decided to let go. She cooked a whole table of dishes and waited until late into the night, only to get a single “I forgot.” Her disappointment had finally reached its limit, and she calmly handed him the divorce papers. Ma Yichen couldn't understand. It was just an anniversary, so why take things this far? Then, by chance, he came into possession of an ancient pocket watch, an heirloom left by his grandfather called the “Eyes of Marriage.” Whenever their marriage ran into trouble, a line of golden text visible only to him would appear on its face, guiding him toward truths he had overlooked. He thought the biggest problems in a marriage were forgetting anniversaries, lacking romance, and not spending enough time together. But as he followed the watch's clues, he discovered that the real cracks lay in everyday silences, behind every “never mind,” and in the three years during which he had never truly seen her. A breakfast, a moment of listening, an honest conversation... He clumsily tried to mend what was broken, only to realize that the “Eyes of Marriage” never offered shortcuts. Instead, they forced him to face the selfish, careless, self-righteous person he had become. This is a journey about love and truly seeing one another. When your marriage's warning light flashes red, are you willing to open the eyes you've kept shut all this time?
