Consciousness and Soul

Chen Buyan is in his second year of junior high school. He is not the smartest kind of person, nor is he lazy (although he is not diligent either), but he often loses focus and occasionally answers questions in class that are not like his own. When he was drawing talisman, he could draw three pictures at a time, without inking in between, and he would not remember that he had drawn it at all afterwards. When he was serious, his friends said he felt like he was being "possessed." He said, "That's me." When that person didn't come out, he was just an ordinary student who would be in a daze, look at trees, and put his pen on the table without moving for five minutes. When he came out, he just did what he had to do for him. The consciousness is the everyday you, and the soul is the you that doesn't show up often. This book is about how a person discovers that there is another self living in him-and when that person started to answer questions for him.
