Before the Word Falls

When the narrative stops, do you still exist? Everything in the world must first be written down before it can actually happen. Lin Bian has been able to see the text flowing on the wall since he was a child - it is a narration that follows each person, calmly recording their every movement and every heartbeat. No one told him what this meant, until one day, the words describing him stopped. The last line of narration is carved into the white wall of his bedroom and disappears before he turns around: he stands in the middle of the room, aware that he has not been described for a long time.
