Hogwarts: Deconstructor

Aidan Aarons, a PhD student in theoretical physics at Cambridge, woke up after a sudden death and found himself transformed into an eleven-year-old British boy - with a Hogwarts acceptance letter in his hand. The body of the owl that delivered the letter was covered with a layer of light blue mist. A complex web of blue-white light grows on the wax seal of the admission letter. But the house was full of teapots, doorknobs, and furniture, all clean and glowing. A physicist's intuition told him: don't scream, observe first. Record first. First figure out what kind of scene this is. So he began to use scientific methodology to re-examine this thing called "magic". He didn't plan to be a hero or rewrite history, he just wanted to figure things out. But there are some things, once you begin to understand them, you can never go back.
