The fire in Jiangling destroyed 140,000 volumes of books into ashes. A young man picked up a fragment of a page from the river. He had no idea what the pen had been through. In 493 AD, Emperor Xiaowen of the Northern Wei Dynasty moved the capital to Luoyang, and the Northern Dynasty ushered in its golden age. The wind and sand in the Six Towns, the blood in the river Yin, the Chilean Song at the top of the Jade Wall City - no one knew that a fire not only burned Jiangling's collection of books, but also ignited the end of the Northern and Southern Dynasties. Gao Huan set out from the city gate of Huaishuo Town, carrying a broken bowl that had been repaired twelve times, and met Lou Zhaojun; Yu Wentai laid down his sword in the reed marsh of the sand garden; Hou Jing crossed the Huaihe River with the last rotten saddle in his hand; Xiao Yan said two words before starving to death in Taicheng - "Lotus". And there is a stone at the bottom of the Yellow River that never freezes. There is a piece of rotten wood stuck on the stone, which is an oar sworn on the Yellow River three hundred years ago. There is an undercurrent under the stone. Every winter the ice floes recede, leaving a small patch of water still open. In 589 AD, Emperor Wen of the Sui Dynasty Yang Jian unified the world. An old piece of wood is embedded under the threshold of Taiji Hall. He didn't lower his head as he stepped over. He didn't recognize the oar. But the paddle knew him. A bowl has been repaired countless times without being broken, a pen has been burned with countless volumes of books and has not been destroyed, and an oar has been turned over at the bottom of the river for three hundred years without sinking. The owners of these things are all dead. But the warmth they held did not break.
