The Lawyer Who Judges the Dead in the Tavern

My name is Shikar, a demon, immortal, and I have lived for who knows how many years. He is a lawyer from the Freya Federation Union. He travels around the world during his break and makes a special trip to dissuade those who are about to sign a contract with the devil. I can see their lives - all the falls they have had, the people they have loved, the secrets they have hidden, and the two endings: how they will die if they sign, and how they will live if they don't sign. The painter wanted to change his right eye, but I showed him that if he signed it, he would become mediocre. The mother wanted to resurrect her daughter, but I showed her that the resurrected one was an empty shell. A star wants to change her fame. I let her see that everyone loves her but no one cares about her. Most of them regretted it after reading it. My fellow demons were very angry and scolded me for ruining the place. It doesn't matter. What I need is good stories - and the best stories are always those who "didn't sign" and lived out their lives later. I am a devil, but I refuse boring harvesting. In this job, I have my own rules.
