Looking Back on the Winter Road

An unknown being born from the death of a messenger sent a secret letter that could change the fate of the North to the hands of the fifteen-year-old young master Selian. Selian possesses the lord's seal, but has no real power; the nameless boy possesses the body of the deceased and the last mission, but does not know why he lives. In one winter, Selian relied on his loyalty to enter the center of power in the north, and also gave him a name, a position, and a new mission—Roland thus became his messenger, guard, and knight. Meanwhile, an unusually harsh winter is making roads lose their direction. In order to protect the main city, those in power are preparing to cut off the west, leaving the people who have not yet evacuated in the disaster. Selian tried to find another way, but ultimately discovered that magic cannot eliminate the cost, it can only decide who will bear it. With each other as their only direction, they won this winter. For the first time, I saw how the only direction would eventually lead two people to a dead end.
