"Era of the Light Chasers" tells the story of a civilization that was forced underground under the "abyssal fog" and how it struggled to survive in oblivion and alienation. Abyssal fog is not an ordinary climate phenomenon - it is conscious. It will "read" and "devour" human memories and emotions, gradually transforming survivors into "fog skeletons" without self. The last bastion of mankind is the "Geocentric Clock Tower" - a huge city suspended in the hollow of the earth's core. But the bell tower itself is also slowly being penetrated by the abyssal fog. No one knows what the source of the abyssal fog is, until the protagonist discovers that it may be the breath of an ancient existence before it "awakens".
