I Took a Summer Job, So Why Am I Facing a Hundred Ghosts on Parade?

After the college entrance exams, Lin Yan took a bizarrely high-paying “late-night local delivery” gig to save up for the latest top-of-the-line computer.

Born with yin-yang eyes, he'd made it to eighteen by pretending to be blind. With Oscar-worthy acting and a cautious nature, Lin Yan figured all he had to do was deliver the order, collect his money, and leave.

Until the night of the Ghost Festival in mid-July, when he rode his little electric scooter to deliver an order of “braised pork” to the old city and crashed straight into a fog-shrouded crossroads.

Ahead, paper figures carried a sedan chair, a headless ghost held a lantern, and a hundred ghosts roamed the night!

Without so much as changing expression, Lin Yan rode his scooter right through the ghosts, panicking inside. “They can't see me, they can't see me...”

Then the red-clad ghost inside the sedan chair spoke softly: “Hey, has my delivery arrived?”

Lin Yan: “...”

Just as he was about to fight for his life, the aloof top student and campus belle from his class descended from the sky, wielding a bloodstained Tang sword.

“Lin Yan? What are you doing here?”

“I told you, I'm delivering food. Would you believe me?”
