Oh No, That Nine-Dragon Has Actually Become Emperor!

[Late Northern Song court intrigue + Water Margin brotherhood + the beauties of Dream of the Red Chamber]

Transmigrated to a Northern Song dynasty that only vaguely resembles the real one, Shi Jin says:

At first, all he wants is to keep his status as a law-abiding citizen and avoid becoming an outlaw on Mount Shaohua.

Gradually, all he wants is to befriend the heroes of Liangshan Marsh and save some of the golden girls from Dream of the Red Chamber.

Later, he wants to defend the Han people's realm and keep it from being trampled by foreign invaders.

Wait a minute, I, Shi, am utterly loyal and devoted to the country!

Look me in the eye, you dog emperor!

Explain what you mean by “there's no higher title to grant,” and what you mean by “there's no greater reward to give”!

That throne in the Golden Chariot Hall looks pretty good to me. Perhaps...

Don't forget, I'm Shi Jin, the distinguished gentleman known as “Nine-Tattooed Dragon”!

If your Zhao family can sit on that throne, then I, Nine-Tattooed Dragon, can sit on it too!

Years later, as the rulers and ministers of the Liao and Jin dynasties face the surging smoke of the northern expedition, they admit helplessly: “Back then, we only wanted to sow discord between the emperor and his ministers. We never thought we'd actually make him emperor!”
