The Pilgrim on the Journey to the West

Li Fan, an ordinary college student, transmigrates into the world of Journey to the West. Familiar with the trials laid out along the journey and perceptive of the power struggles among the gods and Buddhas, he sets off with Tang Sanzang on the pilgrimage to the Western Heaven. With no powerful backing or secret aid from immortals and Buddhas, he relies on his own disciplined cultivation of the Dao and the honing of his abilities.

Along the way, he doesn't blindly kill every demon he encounters. He gives those who can be enlightened a chance, and subdues those who refuse to yield with his own strength.

He faces the mounts of various immortal sects and the attendants of Buddhist figures, all of whom have descended to wreak havoc, and overcomes every crisis one by one.
