Journey to the West: Tang Sanzang Was Born a Beautiful Woman

[Female Tang Monk] [No romance or flirtation] [Plot-driven] [Not a mindless power fantasy] [Wildly imaginative] [Regular updates] On her tenth journey to the West, Jin Chanzi was still the same penniless monk. Her clothes barely covered her, she was half-starved, and even her supposed identity as a man was a lie. The old scoundrel Tathagata had kicked her down to the mortal realm and forced her to take on this miserable mission. All she wanted was to reach Spirit Mountain and put an end to ten lifetimes of wandering. Who could have guessed that the monkey beneath Five Elements Mountain would want to become her disciple? Sun Wukong has an ulterior motive, the White Dragon Horse is unruly, Zhu Bajie is plotting something, and Sha Wujing is brimming with murderous intent. Jin Chanzi had no desire to take on disciples, but Guanyin threatened her into being bound to them. Suspicion, probing, schemes... Her disciples looked at her as if they were seeing their mortal enemy from a past life. It didn’t matter. She didn’t care. On the journey west, Jin Chanzi berated Tathagata, drove Guanyin to the brink of madness, extorted the gods and Buddhas, and tormented demons... Yet the disciples’ attitudes toward her grew stranger and stranger. After enduring countless trials, Jin Chanzi finally got the chance to leave the Buddhist order. But weren’t they supposed to join it? Why were they standing in her way, ready to defy all the gods and Buddhas in heaven?
