Tianchi Art: The Changbai Calamity

An imperial seal is etched between his brows, and destiny rests upon his shoulders, yet he has no desire to rule. He does not vie for heaven’s mandate or pursue dominion. With nothing but an ordinary mortal’s body, he joins the mountain god, the earth god, the fox immortal, and the demon general to guard the mountain and keep the sacred art. He becomes a shield and offers his blood as a sacrifice, merging with the Heavenly Pool without regret. When imperial power rots away and immortals and demons fall silent, the people still cook their meals and tend their fires. Only then does the world understand: the Heavenly Pool holds no secret art. The Great Dao lies in the heart.
