The Story of the Floating Life of Jin Guan

This book is an inspirational novel about the growth of civilians, set in the old Chengdu city at the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China. It tells the story of Chen Jinsong, an orphan from northern Sichuan who was homeless and impoverished in the troubled times and settled in Chili Street, Chengdu. He started from the lowest level as a handyman in a grain store. With his tenacity, clear understanding and sincerity, he went through market grinding, business experience, peer games, and the ups and downs of the times. Step by step, he counterattacked from a wandering beggar to a people's livelihood practitioner based in Jinguan City. The story uses the grain business as the core carrier, connecting the fireworks in the streets of old Chengdu, the people in the market, traditional crafts, business rules and the changes of the times.
