If Heaven abandons me, I will smash Heaven's law, recast the rules, and let Heaven tremble under my feet. Go against fate rather than with it. The protagonist is not the chosen one, nor the darling of fate. Every step he takes is to fight against the rules of this world with his flesh and blood. What he ultimately goes towards is not becoming an immortal or a god, but becoming the way of heaven itself. The incompleteness of Heaven's Way is about to trigger the end of the world, and the only person who can repair Heaven's Way happens to be the person abandoned by Heaven's Way.
