Steel Nest

In the post-AI era, after experiencing natural and man-made disasters, the world is no longer a pure land. The earth no longer has natural soil, and the world is covered by a super city called the "Steel Nest". The city resembles a giant cone, with people living at different heights according to social class (regardless of the thinness of the air). It is divided into four levels from top to bottom: The top layer [Cloud] (The Apex): a very small number of "digital immortals". They abandoned their physical bodies, and their consciousness ran in a supercomputer, controlling the world's resources. Middle level [The Neon Sector]: corporate lackeys and senior technicians. Here, although life is glamorous, everyone is a part precisely controlled by an algorithm. Lower level [The Rust Belt]: industrial workers, low-end prosthetic maintainers. Living in eternal acid rain and metallic noise. Bottom [Abyss/Garbage Dump] (The Sump): an area beyond the law. The protagonist's birthplace. It's awash with electronic scrap, a black market in human organs and abandoned "undocumented people." The protagonist's name is Zero, a pure "undocumented person". Born at the bottom of the abyss, his parents died in an illegal prosthetic surgery. He survived by dismantling scrapped chips in a garbage dump since he was a child. He accidentally obtained an ancient AI fragment called "Protocol Zero". This AI can help him hack into the system, but every time it is used, it will swallow up part of his real memory (exchanging memory for abilities)
