Souls Granted Daily: I, Liu Shan, Am Emperor for the Ages

In the autumn of the twelfth year of Jianxing, Chancellor Liang died at Wuzhang Plains.

The court and the country were shaken, and the Han dynasty nearly fell.

The emperor, Liu Shan, inherited the strength of a heroic spirit and faced the empire's peril.

At home, he quelled strife among the generals and ministers; abroad, he secured the borders of Ba and Shu.

He rebuilt the armies, cared for the people, and carried on the unfinished work of the late emperor and the chancellor.

Then he launched the northern campaigns, brought the turmoil to an end, restored the Han dynasty, and returned to the old capital.
