You Asked Me to Manage Fangcun Mountain, and the Monkey Became a Sage?

Lin Changsheng transmigrates into the world of Journey to the West and becomes the utterly unremarkable senior disciple of Patriarch Bodhi on Mount Fangcun. The calamity of Journey to the West is approaching, and as he watches the gods and Buddhas scheme around the future Great Sage Equal to Heaven, Lin Changsheng is scared out of his wits. If his identity is exposed, he won’t even qualify as cannon fodder! Just then, Sun Wukong comes to study under Bodhi, who promptly retreats into seclusion. “Changsheng, teach him in my place.” Lin Changsheng is at a loss. I’ve only just formed a golden core, and I’m a good-for-nothing. What the heck am I supposed to teach him? Right then, the [God-Tier Substitute Mentor System] activates! As long as he gives his junior brother cultivation techniques, magical treasures, or cultivation, he can receive rewards multiplied by up to ten thousand! “You taught your junior brother the Long Fist technique. A ten-thousandfold critical reward has been triggered, granting you the Divine Elephant Suppressing Prison Force!” “You gave your junior brother an iron staff. A hundred-thousandfold critical reward has been triggered, granting you the Extreme Dao Imperial Weapon, the Godslaying Spear!” A hundred years later. Patriarch Bodhi emerges from seclusion and sees a muscular monkey who has smashed the Thirty-Three Heavens with one swing of his staff and is gripping Buddha Tathagata with one hand, demanding, “You call this Mahayana Buddhism?” He is utterly dumbfounded. Bodhi: “I told you to teach him the art of immortality, and you taught him to tear apart the primordial world with his bare hands?!” Lin Changsheng spreads his hands helplessly. “Master, Brother Monkey is just too talented. This really isn’t my fault!”
