Notes on Gold Rush in the West

In the late 1980s, a gold rush broke out in Hoh Xil, Qinghai. Chen Shan, an 18-year-old boy from Huangzhong, treated his father's illness and paid off his debts. He joined the gold mining team and became a low-level Shabai. He experienced the bitter cold in the wilderness, the squeeze of gold and the test of the good and evil of human nature. In the following more than ten years, Chen Shan traveled to the Altyn Mountains, Ganzi, Sichuan, and the Golden Fields of Jiangxi, met Shen Qingyao, Tie Lama and other Taoists, and became the first person in ancient and modern times to find the gold palm. He fought to the death with the evil Mo Jiuye who controlled the Jiangxi Bronze Talisman. He fought fiercely for the three bronze talismans, and gradually developed feelings and bonds.
