Mr. Zhou's Travel Notes

I am Zhou Yuan, and I have had an unusual obsession with mechanism and thaumaturgy since I was a child. Zhoucun is located in the hinterland of the Cangwu Mountains, surrounded by mountains like black clouds, and clouds and mist wrap around the peaks all year round. There is a thousand-year-old banyan tree at the entrance of the village. Its branches are twisted like dragons and snakes, and its canopy blocks out the sky. Every full moon night, its leaves will glow with a faint green fluorescence. The villagers call it the "Eye of the Spiritual Veins" - it is said that this banyan tree is rooted in an ancient spiritual vein and is the source of spiritual energy for the entire Zhoucun.
