Misplaced Room

In the mountain city of Chongqing, the night is wet and cool. A three-bedroom shared house with a separate bathroom hides the thoughts and sense of propriety of four strangers. Wu Hang, who is introverted and taciturn and accustomed to living alone, has been wandering alone for many years, guarding the small room by the bay window. He has always been an outsider who watched indifferently in the daily life of the shared apartment. The enthusiastic and bright Wanying, the reserved and tolerant Jiaxiu, a pair of best friends from Sichuan province who came to Chongqing to work hard; and Wanying's boyfriend Achen, who are full of awkwardness and poor words, are caught in the middle. There is an indescribable estrangement, jealousy and subtle emotions hidden between the three of them, which are undercurrents as they get along day and night. Watching Jiaxiu, who had just entered the society, practiced alone, and silently endured all the hard work, Wu Hang broke the long-term alienation. There is no ambiguity, no love between children, only the empathy of fellow wanderers in a foreign land, and genuine appreciation and goodwill. As an older roommate, he quietly extended a helping hand, was gentle, considerate and silently helpful.
