The universe is guarding a secret. Li Qing wrote the eleven-layer denoising algorithm, and the algorithm ran the twelfth layer by itself. She did not write that layer. A geometric structure covering the entire universe emerged on the screen, precise, symmetrical, and as precise as an engineering drawing. It has been floating quietly at the bottom of the universe for 13.8 Billion years. She told her mentor, who gave her an order: delete it, don't tell anyone, and give her no explanation. She didn't delete it, she saved it to her hard drive. Forty years ago, astronomers from China, the United States and the Soviet Union secretly established a group. They discovered the same structure, and seventeen top scientists died within four years of each other, from cardiac arrest, laboratory explosions, and highway rear-end collisions. The survivors signed a joint statement: "We advise those who come after us not to repeat the same mistakes. This is a request from the survivors." Forty years later, Li Qing discovered a deeper pattern in the files they left behind: the people who die the fastest are the people who understand the deepest. This structure has an immune system. Any parsing of it will trigger deletion after a certain threshold of understanding is reached. If it has an immune system, what is it protecting and what is sealed underneath. Li Qing started digging down. She does not know that she is pushing herself right in front of the immune boundary. In the immune recognition of the universe, she is not the discoverer, she is the invader.
