Leningrad 1941

In the summer of 1941, Ilya was just an ordinary fitter in a machinery factory in Leningrad. He has a mother who is a teacher, a fourteen-year-old sister, and a girl who works in a hospital. When the war came, he thought that as long as he went to work on time and came home on time, he could still maintain his original life. Until the windows were covered with black cloth, children began to register for evacuation, sirens rang throughout the city, food became less and less, and roads to the outside world were cut off. Only then did he realize that those who stayed behind would also have to fight a war. There were no charges, no medals, no cheers of victory. There is only a ration card, a small piece of bread, and a home that must survive until tomorrow.
