Records of Xianfeng's Conquest of Chaos

In the first year of Xianfeng, the Yellow River burst, and refugees were everywhere. The Taiping Heavenly Kingdom swept across the south, and the Nian Army spread across the Central Plains. The British and French powers were eyeing them, smuggling arms and interfering in internal affairs. The Qing court was troubled at home and abroad, and the country was in turmoil. Zeng Guofan, as the governor-general, coordinated the fight against the rebellion in the south. He secretly sent people to Guizhou to recruit strong warriors, thus unveiling a legend of fighting the rebellion that spanned more than ten years. The Eighteen Dumu warriors from Guizhou were called out of the mountains under the leadership of their leader Chen Tianyou. Chen Tianyou was decisive in killing, brave and resourceful, and was awarded the title of "Batulu the Brave"; Zhou Tianxi bravely won the three armies, and grew from a pioneer officer to a famous general of the Yangtze River Navy; Chen Zhenglong had special skills with hidden weapons, but he was burdened with family feud. Chen Mingqing has a righteous heart; Chen Mingqing is an outstanding strategist and is known as "Zhuge Zhuge", assisting everyone in strategizing; and their master Chen Changhan, who lives in seclusion, uses military art and martial arts to guide his disciples forward. They fought in the south and north, defended Wuchang, pacified northern Anhui, controlled the Yellow River, and resisted foreign powers. They upheld the original aspirations of the people in the light of swords and the shadow of swords, and united their brotherhood in the bloody storm. However, in troubled times, it is difficult to balance loyalty and justice, and the warriors with great military exploits cannot escape the fate of the feudal dynasty, and are trapped in the whirlpool of officialdom and power games. From warriors in the Jianghu to famous generals in the imperial court, from gathering together to end tragically, they went to their missions with their blood, practiced their loyalty with their lives, and spent their lives writing about the perseverance and desolation of a group of heroes in the troubled times of Xianfeng, carving out a story of loyalty that is evocative and will remain in history forever.
