The Dead Rise in Great Jin

[Alternate history + folk horror + political intrigue + farming] In the fourth year of Yongjia, the nobility crossed south of the Yangtze. The living dead roamed, blood locusts blotted out the sun, and barbarian demons pointed at people and called them two-legged sheep. Even the great nation called Han had been stolen by the Xiongnu, who used its name to found a kingdom and dominate the land. As the heartland of China crumbled, a tattered banner rose against the tide amid the ruins of the northern frontier. They say its lord can turn beans into soldiers, heal the sick with talisman water, and command the lost arts of the Mohists. His Divine Mechanism Army is invincible! After hearing all this, Lu Zheng merely smiled. Turn beans into soldiers? Just give them a meal and take care of their food and drink, and they'll be your soldiers. Heal the sick with talisman water? Add millet to the talisman water, and anyone who drinks it will naturally have the strength to carry on. As for Mohist mechanical arts... Well, that part is true! “Men! Bring out my cannons!” He quells a chaotic age with divine machines, and shoulders the land's fate with a mortal body. As the wind rises in the north, the heroes of the realm look up at him, like mayflies gazing at the sky.
