When a sea crab with a blue-black body and gleaming claws climbed into an attic filled with old musical instruments and pressed the keys of the Mellotron tape that had been dusted for decades, the boundary between reality and fantasy completely collapsed in the rhythm of the waves crashing on the shore. This is the year 2000, in the small town of "Rusty Port" on the southern coast. The protagonist, Lin Ye, is an old-goods restorer who lives on the edge of the times. He is taciturn and his fingertips are stained with engine oil and sea sand. His only obsession is to repair the Mellotron left behind by his grandfather. This tape sampling keyboard was born in the 1960s. It is the work of his grandfather for half his life and the last sound imprint of the old era in Rust Harbor. The small town has long been abandoned by the era of rapid iteration. Factories have closed down, fishing boats have been stranded, and young people are flocking to the neon-lit city. Only the old people are left guarding their fading memories and accompanying themselves with the ebb and flow of loneliness. Lin Ye thought that his life would slowly come to an end in the ordinary life of repairing old things and reminiscing about the past, until the appearance of the sea crab tore up all peace. That's no ordinary sea crab. It carries fine shell patterns on its back, and a tape-like brown light pattern faintly flows under the shell. When its claws hit the ground, it will make a soft "click" sound similar to the rotation of a tape. It climbed up to the attic with precision and pressed the keys of the Mellotron with its chelicerae - the distorted string sound suddenly exploded, mixed with the sound of the waves, the noise of old records, the play of children, and the vague voice of the grandfather.
