The General Is Determined to Catch Demons

[Classic of Mountains and Seas; ensemble cast; young general + bewitching Imperial Preceptor; auspicious beast takes human form + demon king pursues his wife] [The heroine is career-minded and should have been one half of a powerful couple, but the male lead is hopelessly lovestruck] As a beast, she was the little qilin who gave Yinglong the biggest headache, and he repeatedly ordered that she be kept under strict watch. All she remembered was that Yinglong was a hot-tempered, fierce big sister. But as soon as she went outside, she discovered that all the demon gods thought Yinglong looked at her as if she were his own eyes. - As a human, she was a young general who made a name for herself early, bold and passionate, afraid of nothing. When the old emperor tried to send a princess away in a political marriage, she fought her way into the palace, rebellious to the core, And helped her friend ascend the throne as empress. - Later, when Yinbei invaded, she led the Zhaolin Army across the desert and crushed them so thoroughly that they hurriedly offered their own Imperial Preceptor in a political marriage. The Imperial Preceptor had a pair of violet eyes and was peerlessly beautiful. He was certainly good-looking, but unfortunately, he wasn’t quite right in the head. Every day, he insisted on marrying her. - She wielded pure yang energy, slaying demon beasts in the desert and cutting down demon dragons in the Huai Sea. Demons trembled at the sound of her name. One night, the Imperial Preceptor knocked on her door. Watching her manhandle his true form, he said mournfully, “My lady, stop petting me. Why not pet me directly instead?” She looked at the little creature in her arms, then at him, and began to doubt everything. The Imperial Preceptor confessed, his face as bewitching as ever: “The truth is, I really am a demon...” [His true forms can be thought of as: a golden-eyed, shimmering-gold calico cat + a violet-eyed, silver tabby Maine Coon]
