Huaiying Jinyi

During the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty, before the city of Peiping was renamed Beijing, there was a centuries-old locust tree next to the Bell and Drum Towers. Under the tree lived an old shoemaker named Lin. He was skilled in craftsmanship and silent, and the neighbors called him Father Lin.
