The Story of Da Liu's Wine Table: the Legend of Kaoshantun

In the Northeast in the 1970s, Da Liu, a young man who went to the countryside, huddled with his two brothers on a broken kang, gathered around a pot of dog meat, and heard a legend: In the early years, there was an Anti-Japanese War hero named Wang Huzi. After his death, hard goods were buried in Xishan - silver dollars, gold bars, and an old nose. The two brothers hit it off immediately and entered the cave with their guns in hand. The cave was so strange that people disappeared as they walked, but when they came out, they had a few silver coins in their pockets. From then on, Da Liu was drawn into an inescapable whirlpool. He thought he was digging a grave, but later he realized that what he was digging was the kindness and promise of the previous generation. When his beloved girl fell into a pool of blood, Da Liu knelt in front of the grave and kowtowed: "Please save her!" This is a story about brothers, first love, world and destiny. Lao Liu sat at the wine table and told the most shocking legend of the times in the crudest terms spoken by Northeasterners. Believe it or not, the wine is white and it is true.
