Observer's Gate

For nine years, strange dreams have repeatedly haunted Lin Yuan, a down-and-out scholar who has been chased by some unexplainable fragments of sentences. They come from the Tao Te Ching, the Bible, the Quran, and the Diamond Sutra. They should not be connected to each other, but they overlap strangely again and again in dreams, in the pages of old books, and in the clues left by the missing professor. When an unusual paper, an anonymous warning, and a woman who always seemed to be "observing" him appeared one after another, Lin Yuan discovered that what he was pursuing might not be an academic mystery, but a crack in reality itself. Some people are missing, some are erased, some pictures will repair themselves, and some truths, once seen, can never be turned back. If the world isn't real, who keeps it running? If all living beings live in a designed order, who wrote the source code of all this in the depths of darkness?
