Dreams Shattered Before Dawn

In ancient times, the Yellow Emperor did not simply wander through Huaxu in a dream. He nearly never woke up again. For Huaxu was no ordinary dream, but the “Sea of Ten Thousand Dreams,” or the primordial dreamscape that existed before all living beings awoke. Anyone who entered and failed to recognize “I am dreaming” would gradually be assimilated by the dream realm, eventually losing their identity in reality. After awakening, the Yellow Emperor established the first “Law of Severing Dreams.” And the ones who truly brought him back from Huaxu to reality were not ordinary mortals, but the Ten Shamans of Lingshan. Thus, all who sever dreams in later generations claim descent from the “Ten Offices of Lingshan” or the “Old Lineage of the Ten Shamans.”
