The Blood Moon Rises: Master of Metal

The sun vanished, and a blood moon filled the sky. Every species evolved beneath it, except humans, who turned into zombies. Lin Chen, a senior high school student, obtained an SSS-rank black source crystal by chance during the blood moon disaster at his school's pledge rally, awakening the ability to control metal. His nemesis, Zhao Lei, a student athlete, gained an S-rank ability and opposed him at every turn. Three years into the apocalypse, humanity established a nine-rank hierarchy. Lin Chen fought his way out of school, weathered conspiracies in the shelters and infighting within the military, and grew stronger alongside the divine beast White Tiger. He eventually broke through to the ninth rank and crushed every opponent in the war between nations. As the world sank into eternal darkness, metal alone became the sharpest light in his hands.
