The sun vanished, and a blood moon filled the sky. Every species evolved beneath its light, except humans, who turned into zombies.
Lin Chen, a high school senior, was caught in the blood-moon disaster during the school's oath-taking ceremony. By chance, he obtained an SSS-grade black Origin Crystal and awakened the ability to control metal. His archenemy, Zhao Lei, a student athlete, gained an S-grade ability and opposed him at every turn.
Three years into the apocalypse, humanity established a nine-tier ranking system. Lin Chen fought his way out of school and survived shelter conspiracies and military infighting. Growing stronger alongside the divine beast White Tiger, he eventually broke through to the ninth tier and crushed every opponent in the war between nations.
When the world sank into eternal darkness, metal alone was the sharpest light in his hands.
