The Island Nation: Silly Chun's Simulator

[Absurd everyday antics, protagonist is mildly dim-witted] In 1993, in Kanagawa, Mu Chunye takes over a seaside general store. Forbidden love, an ama diver, parasitic flowers, a baby-faced beauty... The easygoing, dim-witted Chun is always getting caught up in all sorts of absurd and bizarre stories. Like intervening before his lovesick stepsister can follow “Storyline A”... Helping a poor ama diver earn her living expenses over summer vacation... Finding a job for the unemployed shut-in next door, a graduate of the University of Tokyo... Looking for a way to lift the family curse for a baby-faced shrine maiden... “Later on...pretending to be an idiot was so exhausting!” “Good grief, you have no idea how much I had to worry!” [No face-slapping power fantasy, no commercial ghostwriting. The author really is an idiot, this isn't just nonsense.]
