Yamato's Past

During the Dahe period of the Tang Dynasty, the eunuchs' exclusive power led to corruption in the court, and the boundaries between the rivers and lakes and the temple were blurred. Fifteen-year-old Shen Zhao fled with the brush left by his father. He initially thought he would be happy in the world, but his master died to protect him, which disillusioned him. While on the run, he met Liu Li, a daughter of an official. They learned from each other and then parted ways. Liu Li gave her a copper hairpin and left a message. Shen Zhao went to Chang'an to meet a spirited scholar and thought ZTE had hope. However, during the Ganlu Incident, the scholar was imprisoned and he was unable to help. After ten years of wandering, he returned to the south tiredly, opened a tea shop and married a wife. It wasn't until the sword-carrying boy asked about the origin of the old sword that he realized that the past had never really gone away. Based on Shen Zhao's experience, the story describes the ideals, struggles and reconciliation of ordinary people in the great era.
