Dongning Fortress

In August 1945, World War II was coming to an end. The Soviet Red Army assembled millions of troops in the Far East and launched "Operation August Storm", launching an overwhelming general offensive against the Japanese Kwantung Army entrenched in Northeast China. In this decisive battle, the Northeast Anti-Japanese Allied Forces fought side by side with the Soviet army and made an indelible contribution to the victory.
