In 2049, the Time's Inn on the Imjin River's century-old ferry has become a safe and secure "time ferry" for countless people. The core here is the "time trace anchoring system" developed by 77-year-old retired engineer Su Wanqing and her late husband who spent their whole lives - it can non-destructively reproduce the full sensory experience of a certain moment in life, allowing humans to truly "empathize" for the first time: you can enter your grandma's childhood and understand her hunger and tenderness hidden in the candy wrappers; you can see your father's burned drawing books and understand the teenage dreams he gave up for the family; you can hear the words of your loved ones that have been hidden for ten years, and understand his pride that he has never said. The story revolves around five people of different ages, 7, 17, 27, 47, and 77 years old. They walked into the inn with their own difficulties and regrets in their own life stages, found redemption in each other's life traces, and together guarded the original intention of "let people love each other well and say goodbye well". The work uses soft science fiction as the shell and realistic fireworks as the core, breaking down generational barriers, allowing readers of every age group to see their own lives in the story.
