When that fleet set sail, everyone believed in "approach, don't cross." They believe in parameters, they believe in deduction, and they believe that human beings finally have the ability to look into the abyss without falling. But when the loss of contact becomes a new reality, and the tracks, echoes and coordinates are silenced one after another, the black hole is no longer just a distant celestial body, but a crack across the center of the times - invisible, but constantly expanding. After the red rain, cities on Earth and Mars are still running, radios are still ringing on time, and trains are still arriving at the station on time. Nothing seems to have changed. But there are always some unexplainable details that begin to reappear on the edge of order: covered abnormal records, untraceable lists of missing people, silhouettes that briefly appear and disappear late at night; and a very small number of people, at an unnoticed moment, suddenly hear strange echoes coming from within the world. Human beings realized very late that what was really changed might never be the weather, nor just the living environment. What I brought back from that voyage was not an answer, but a kind of gaze. We once thought we were observing deep space, but later we realized— What is observed may never be limited to deep space.
