Pao Ge's Journey

"Brother Pao's Journey" tells the counterattack life of Chen Jingpao (Brother Pao), an ordinary undergraduate graduate from a confused youth to an overseas business elite. In 2010, Brother Pao returned to his hometown amid the confusion of graduation and uncertainty about his future. He fell into anxiety in his comfortable life. With tenacity and persistence, he seized the opportunity to join the multinational engineering company China Overseas Chinese International. He went to East Africa, started out as a young translator with a stammer, and grew into a project main force with crazy hard work. He was unexpectedly appreciated by the president of an overseas region, and completed his transformation from a construction site translator to an assistant to the president. His experience in Europe completely reshaped his understanding. After returning to Africa, he was recognized in public by the Prime Minister of Rwanda for his kind assistance at the Shanghai World Expo three years ago, and received a fateful opportunity - to take the lead in Rwanda's rare earth mine development project. Based on the real overseas workplace and overseas life, the work depicts the image of Brother Pao who sticks to his original intention amidst temptations and opportunities, and grows steadily amidst risks and challenges. It shows the struggle and perseverance of ordinary people under the opportunities of the times, and also outlines the personal growth trajectory in the context of China-Africa cooperation.
