The Exorcism Tales of Yan Qing, the Outlaw of Water Margin

This is an officially timeline-compatible supernatural fantasy spin-off of the original Water Margin, focusing on a secret legend from a gap in the novel’s story about the gallant Yan Qing. Against the backdrop of the turbulent fifth year of the Xuanhe era under the Great Song, it blends the heroic spirit of Water Margin with the eerie atmosphere of classical Chinese supernatural tales. It fills in Yan Qing’s unknown exploits fighting demons and saving the people, while staying faithful to the original characters and historical events, and laying crucial groundwork for Yan Qing’s eventual withdrawal after achieving his goals.
