Beyond the Mountains

"We were blown away by the strong wind of the times, and met again in words." - Chen Youlin's "Beyond the Long Mountain" I am currently working on this long documentary novel of over 1 million words, divided into eight volumes. It is not only my personal memoir, but also a microcosm of China's modern history. From the 1970s (1978) to the present (2026), the author has experienced the whole process of rural life as a child, the study and growth career of a teenager, and the whole process of going south to work in Shenzhen and returning to his hometown to start a business. This work will take several years to write. These materials come from my diary, and they are all real things that happened. I decided to write this long documentary novel as a tribute to classics like "The Ordinary World". Because during the period of reform and opening up in Shenzhen, people born in the 1970s and 1980s went south to work, so there are no classic works recorded. I want to record these days. It includes the first volume [Roots] Rural Memories; the second volume [Migration] All the way to the south; the third volume [Growth] Pinghu Weilian (Part 1) and the fourth volume [Growth] Pinghu Weilian (Part 2); the fifth volume [Trial] is about to show off, mainly about the days of being a factory director and general manager in Shenzhen, Guangdong; the sixth volume [Struggle] Countercurrent The first volume mainly tells about the days of running around the country doing marketing and business; the seventh volume [Ups and Downs] Repeated Entrepreneurship, mainly tells the story of multiple entrepreneurial experiences and working as a consultant for many companies; the eighth volume [Returning to Roots] teaches and educates people, mainly about entering universities to engage in education work and using live broadcasts to help revitalize rural areas.
