Gray Tide Origin

On March 7, 2031 in the Gregorian calendar, all precision instruments in the world recorded an abnormal signal within the same second. This signal had no source and no direction. It appeared in every corner of the earth at the same time and lasted for 0.07 Seconds. Scientists later called this 0.07 Seconds "frequency collapse." Within these 0.07 Seconds, large-scale cracks appeared in the Earth's dimensional membrane - a theoretical structure used in physics to describe the barrier between three-dimensional space and higher dimensions. A brand new state of matter seeped out from the crack. It was neither solid, liquid, gas, nor plasma, but a fifth state of matter that had never been observed before. This material is named "grey matter". Gray matter is dispersed in the atmosphere in the form of particles invisible to the naked eye, and the concentration decreases outward from the center of the crack. In regions where gray matter concentration reaches critical values, the laws of physics begin to shift: metals soften at room temperature, water freezes at temperatures above zero, and light bends without a medium.
