Douluo Dalu: The Black Tortoise Descends, the Vast Sea Subdues the World

Xu Tinglan transmigrates to Douluo Dalu during the era of The Unrivaled Tang Sect and awakens the Xuanming Turtle Martial Soul. He has Innate Full Soul Power and breaks through to Soul Douluo at the age of eleven. When he is twelve, the clan leader writes him a letter of recommendation to join Shrek Academy, the greatest academy on the continent. After hearing the news, Xu Tinglan promptly refuses. He believes Shrek values its so-called honor and traditions so much that it disregards its students’ lives and shows no regard for the responsibilities of teachers. “An academy like that isn’t worth joining.” To his surprise, the clan leader turns red-eyed with anger and pants like a bull. He thinks Xu Tinglan has a little talent and has already become arrogant, with no idea how vast the world is! He believes that without Shrek Academy’s training, Xu Tinglan is destined to be surpassed by Xu Sanshi! But years later, they discover that Xu Tinglan somehow became the disciple of Kong Deming, the Silver Moon Douluo, and developed the soul-forging method. Drawing inspiration from the mythical Great Emperor Xuanwu, he forges the Xuan Yuan Water-Control Banner and the Demon-Slaying Sword, the two cores of Yin and Yang. They absorb the essence of the sun and moon. His Martial Soul evolves into the peerless divine beast Xuanwu, mighty enough to rule the world and command the seas! … Xu Sanshi: “I thought I was the real Xuanwu, but in front of Xu Tinglan, I’m nothing but a tortoise!” Tang San: “I’m the mighty Sea God. Why have my water-controlling powers been stripped away? This is impossible!” Xu Tinglan looks down upon the gods. “I am Xuanwu. You may also honor me as the Great Emperor of the Northern Pole, the Heaven-Mystic Emperor, the Demon-Subduing Celestial Venerable.”
