Frostfield I: Firelight

In a cruel apocalypse, is sensitivity a gift or a curse? The young girl Gu Xijin follows the wandering team towards the southern fire, but as she loses and loses control along the way, she gradually approaches her own destiny. One hundred and thirty-three years after the world was covered in ice and snow, a wandering team of twenty-two people trekked southward on the snowfield, chasing a rumor that no one could confirm: there was fire, shelter, and a way to survive in the south; but in reality there were only wind and snow, monsters, injuries, and less and less food. The girl follows the wandering team towards the southern fire, but as she loses and loses control of her powers along the way, she gradually approaches her own destiny. When monsters and hunger and cold approach, and when forces "beyond common sense" appear, the real problem is not just who can survive, but also: when fear begins to point toward companions, when "ability" brings costs, when people have to make choices - can they still maintain each other's trust and warmth in the snow? Survival is never a heroic story of one person, but a long journey of a group of people dragging each other, misunderstanding each other, and having to rely on each other. Going south, is it hope or another colder abyss?
