Hurry Up and Pick Up the Words

“The written word has rebelled!”

It was a great moment that went down in history. On the 368-meter-tall Global Joint Air Force Base, representatives of every nation signed a century-long peace treaty. Yet the layers of orders passed down by each country said: launch every nuclear weapon, and let heaven and earth perish together.

“Not that damned passage again, keeping me from sleeping in peace!”

Wen Du sleepily opens his eyes and looks at a stack of winter break exam papers, still pristine despite being covered in nothing but crooked names.

“I should call my cousin back to set off firecrackers, then accidentally blow up my exam papers too. That seems reasonable, right?”

“Ugh, my hands are useless. I really have forgotten how to write!”

An unknown wilderness mountain: going up or down takes you to a different world.

The bizarre and the absurd, the uncanny and the mysterious: this is a sky of written words, forgotten by all.

“Good thing forgetting is what I'm best at. For instance, I'm not sick!”
