Shuangshui Village 2026

This novel tells the story of how a group of farmers in northern Shaanxi healed the scars of history while embracing the future amidst the great changes (demolition and development) in their hometown around the Spring Festival in 2026. It is not only a tribute to Lu Yao's original work (preserving the character and emotional undertones), but also a contemporary fable about China's rural areas "breaking out of cocoons and becoming butterflies" in the process of modernization.
