Now That I'm Reborn, Who Still Cares About Revenge?

Xili died, then came back to life.

Reborn, he discovered that he had taken over the body of a boy named Xilian.

The original owner of this body had suffered an unbelievably tragic fate: his entire family had been slaughtered by a demon king called Eqi Demon. Xilian was one of only two unlucky survivors of that fateful night.

The demon king had been gravely wounded and had fled with his battered forces into the Black Forest to cling to life. That didn't stop him from making a ruthless threat: Xilian had to die, and so did everyone who had ever helped him.

But Xili didn't see it that way.

As someone reborn, what did the grudge tied to this body have to do with him?

Being an orphan in his previous life had been hard enough. Now he finally had a magical academy to coast through and pretty girls to flirt with. Who would want to risk life and limb fighting some demon king?

So he made up his mind: be a good-for-nothing, fall in love, and lie flat until the end of time.

But the demon king clearly had no intention of letting him off. Wave after wave of assassins were sent to the academy.

And the magical power of the demon king himself, the greatest magical genius in history, was nearly restored.

Xili glanced down at the System bound to him, then looked up at the genius demon king closing in step by step and sighed.

“I said I didn't want revenge... but that doesn't mean I want to die!”

System versus the greatest magical genius in history: a good-for-nothing who just wants to lie flat, and a madman determined to wipe him out.

Who will win this battle?
