Hello, Panda Hotel

The kitchen: the default male domain. Britain: the undisputed wasteland of cuisine. Qin Jiao, a talented but unappreciated young chef, takes her cleaver to Britain, only to discover that she and the Sichuan cuisine she loves sit at the bottom of the food pecking order. “Chinese food” made for Western tastes is everywhere, and she can’t take it anymore. “It’s time to teach the British what authentic Sichuan food tastes like!” Fu Arthur, a young Chinese-British doctor, considers himself neither Chinese nor British, just a Londoner. Chinese food? No thanks, never touch it. Sichuan food? What the fuck?! That Chinese girl? Sorry, she’s not my type... Qin Jiao says, “Hey, ever heard of the phrase ‘you’ll come around’?” Different personalities, cultures, and tastes... Their clashes spark love and shape a chef’s whole new outlook. Ancient Chinese culinary wisdom and generations of dedication from overseas Chinese await hungry diners at the Panda Restaurant.
