Apocalypse Survival: Starting with Potato Cultivation!

[Apocalypse + stockpiling + shelter + farming + special forces hero] Rabbit starvation is what happens when people in a famine can eat nothing but rabbit meat. No matter how much they eat, they still soon starve to death because their diet is unbalanced.

But that doesn’t happen if you eat only potatoes. Potatoes are one of the few foods that can keep people from starving, and they contain nearly every nutrient the human body needs to sustain itself.

Put simply: potatoes are damn good.

Qiao Xuejun has just graduated with a degree in agriculture and started her first job when she unexpectedly transmigrates into the apocalypse and gets bound to a grain-storage System. The apocalypse is coming, bringing extreme heat, torrential rain, floods, blizzards, acid rain, and mutated creatures. Extreme weather alternates, disasters keep coming, supplies run short, and humanity struggles to survive. The System tells her, “Stockpile grain to exchange for a shelter. The more grain you have, the better the shelter!” Stockpiling grain and farming? What a perfect fit for her expertise!

The moment she opens her eyes, a pair of awful relatives tries to trick her into paying for the potatoes they can’t sell. Well, would you look at that: they’re Holland 15, a variety with a short dormancy period, strong disease resistance, and easy to grow and store, with yields of up to ten thousand jin per mu. Qiao Xuejun buys out an entire warehouse while her relatives look at her like she’s a fool.

System: “Congratulations, Host, on completing the Pre-Apocalypse Stockpiling mission. Mission reward: Shelter (Beginner).” The apocalypse is just one day away.
