The Deadly Town of Chess

In the Age of Go, the game governs the laws of the world. Zhou Xiaoyi, son of Jiangnan’s richest man, is secretly sent by his parents to the “Xuan Su Camp,” where elites are selected through deadly matches. From resisting to fighting for survival, he is forced to hone his skills amid hunger, debt, and gunfire, and meets Tongtong, a mysterious girl whose depths are impossible to fathom. The two form an alliance to survive the camp’s cruel rules, but gradually discover that this deathtrap of a training camp is far more than it seems. Commercial intrigue, family expectations, mysterious “land mines,” and chilling truths are woven into a tangled web. When the board becomes a battlefield, the pieces must learn to live for themselves, until they are strong enough to overturn the entire board.
